About this blog
Hello and welcome!
My name is Nicola DiSvevia and I am (among other things) a philosopher concerned with consciousness and spirituality.
I grew up in Southwest Germany, among modern factories,
medieval town centres, Baroque churches and castles on hills. I was artistically
inclined and played the guitar, but mostly life struck me as a mystery. After
gaining a degree in computer science I moved to London to further study
cognitive science and then philosophy. But I was left dissatisfied: life still
struck me as a mystery, as beautiful as at times it has been extremely painful.
A subsequent lack of sufficient success in any career has prompted me to pursue
more thoroughly what I was probably born to do: to explore, drawing on my
insights and experiences, the ultimate mystery of Reality itself.
I am the author of the book "What It Means to Be Consciousness: A Series of Spiritual Explorations and Exercises".
